-
A

-
B

-
C

-
D
Add more fuel
Why this is the answer
If the temperature gauge reads in the RED/overheating zone, the recommended action is to SAFELY PULL OVER, turn off the engine, and let it COOL — continuing to drive an overheating engine can cause severe damage (warped cylinder head, blown head gasket, seized engine). ASVAB Auto Information tests basic maintenance/troubleshooting. Causes of overheating include low coolant, a failed water pump, a stuck thermostat, or a leak. Never remove the radiator cap while hot (pressurized hot coolant can cause burns). Knowing the proper response to overheating is commonly tested.
