Highway off-ramps are a common rollover site for doubles and triples. The combination of rearward amplification (small steering inputs at the tractor become large lateral motions at the rear trailer), high center of gravity, and a curve that may seem mild for a passenger car can roll the rear trailer if entered too fast. Reduce speed substantially before the ramp begins — earlier than you would in a single-trailer combination — and maintain steady moderate speed through the curve. Brake on the straight approach, not in the curve. Posted advisory speeds on ramps are for cars; doubles and triples typically should be 10-15 mph below the advisory.
