Why this is the answer
Good ventilation is important when working with nail enhancement products, monomers, and removers because many of these contain volatile chemicals that release fumes or vapors which can be irritating or harmful to the cosmetologist and client with repeated or prolonged exposure in a poorly ventilated space. Proper ventilation (and following SDS guidance and OSHA-related safety practices) reduces inhalation of these vapors. Recognizing the need for ventilation and chemical safety in nail services is part of the safety content on the exam.
