About the Kentucky Notary exam
The Kentucky Notary exam is administered by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Like every state, Kentucky adopts the federal standards as a baseline and adds state-specific requirements, fees, and procedures.
- Commission fee: approximately $23 application.
- Commission term: 4 years.
- Kentucky notaries are commissioned by the Secretary of State; must be a Kentucky resident and at least 18 years old.
