-
A
Wastes time
-
B
Lets staff practice refusals and de-escalation safely so they are prepared for real situations
-
C
Encourages bad habits
-
D
Replaces the need for policies
Why this is the answer
Role-playing difficult scenarios — such as refusing an intoxicated patron or checking a questionable ID — during staff training is valuable because it lets staff practice the right words and actions in a safe setting, building confidence and skill before they face the real situation. Rehearsing de-escalation and refusal techniques helps staff respond calmly and consistently when tensions are high. This experiential practice complements written policies by turning knowledge into ready-to-use skills. Managers can use role-play during onboarding and ongoing training to keep the team sharp and prepared.
