When stopped at an intersection where you plan to turn right, leave just enough space at the right edge to make the turn smoothly without the trailer climbing the curb. Do not leave a vehicle's width of space because that invites passenger cars and bicycles to squeeze into the gap, where they cannot be seen and where they will be at extreme risk when the truck begins its turn.
