About the Georgia CDL exam
The Georgia CDL exam is administered by the Georgia Department of Driver Services. Like every state, Georgia adopts the federal standards as a baseline and adds state-specific requirements, fees, and procedures.
- Exam / licence fee: approximately $32.
- Skills testing: Georgia DDS CDL test sites.
- Georgia requires CDL applicants to present an original Social Security card (not a copy) as part of the identity verification process.
To get started, read the official Georgia handbook (linked above), practice with the tests on this page until you consistently score above 80%, and then schedule your exam with the Georgia Department of Driver Services.
What's in the Georgia exam: Practice tests for the Commercial Driver's License written exam. Questions reflect the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Commercial Driver's License Manual that all states adopt as the basis for their CDL exams.
