About the Oklahoma CDL exam
The Oklahoma CDL exam is administered by the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety. Like every state, Oklahoma adopts the federal standards as a baseline and adds state-specific requirements, fees, and procedures.
- Exam / licence fee: approximately $56.50.
- Skills testing: Oklahoma DPS CDL testing sites.
- Oklahoma requires a separate Oklahoma-specific written examination for the school bus endorsement beyond the federal knowledge test requirements.
To get started, read the official Oklahoma handbook (linked above), practice with the tests on this page until you consistently score above 80%, and then schedule your exam with the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety.
What's in the Oklahoma exam: Practice tests for the Commercial Driver's License written exam. Questions reflect the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Commercial Driver's License Manual that all states adopt as the basis for their CDL exams.
