About the District of Columbia Insurance exam
The District of Columbia Insurance exam is administered by the District of Columbia Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking. Like every state, District of Columbia adopts the federal standards as a baseline and adds state-specific requirements, fees, and procedures.

- DC uses PSI Exams; fingerprint background check required for all applicants.
