About the Illinois Insurance exam
The Illinois Insurance exam is administered by the Illinois Secretary of State. Like every state, Illinois adopts the federal standards as a baseline and adds state-specific requirements, fees, and procedures.
- Exam / licence fee: approximately $50 exam fee.
- Illinois uses PSI Exams; fingerprint background check required for all applicants.
