About the Minnesota Insurance exam
The Minnesota Insurance exam is administered by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety. Like every state, Minnesota adopts the federal standards as a baseline and adds state-specific requirements, fees, and procedures.
- Exam / licence fee: approximately $50 exam fee.
- Minnesota uses PSI Exams; background check required for all applicants.
