About the Texas Insurance exam
The Texas Insurance exam is administered by the Texas Department of Public Safety. Like every state, Texas adopts the federal standards as a baseline and adds state-specific requirements, fees, and procedures.
- Exam / licence fee: approximately $50 exam fee.
- Texas uses Pearson VUE; fingerprint background check required for all applicants.
