About the North Carolina NCLEX exam
North Carolina Board of Nursing. Like every state, North Carolina adopts the federal standards as a baseline and adds state-specific requirements, fees, and procedures.
- NCLEX + state licensing fee: approximately $200 NCLEX fee + $75 NC fee.
- State nursing board: North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON).
- North Carolina is an NLC member; the NCBON was one of the founding members of the original Nurse Licensure Compact.
