About the Utah NCLEX exam
The Utah NCLEX exam is administered by the Utah Driver License Division. Like every state, Utah adopts the federal standards as a baseline and adds state-specific requirements, fees, and procedures.
- NCLEX + state licensing fee: approximately $200 NCLEX fee + $100 UT fee.
- State nursing board: Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL).
- Utah is an NLC member; Utah nursing programmes have strong NCLEX first-time pass rates and the state is expanding healthcare infrastructure significantly.
To get started, read the official Utah handbook (linked above), practice with the tests on this page until you consistently score above 70%, and then schedule your exam with the Utah Driver License Division.
What's in the Utah exam: Practice questions modeled on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) and Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN), organized by client need category as defined by the NCSBN test plan.
