About the Arkansas Notary exam
The Arkansas Notary exam is administered by the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration. Like every state, Arkansas adopts the federal standards as a baseline and adds state-specific requirements, fees, and procedures.

- Commission term: 10 years.
- Arkansas notaries have one of the longest commission terms at 10 years; must be a resident of the county in which commissioned.
