About the Georgia Notary exam
The Georgia Notary exam is administered by the Georgia Department of Driver Services. Like every state, Georgia adopts the federal standards as a baseline and adds state-specific requirements, fees, and procedures.

- Commission term: 4 years.
- Georgia notaries are appointed through Superior Court clerks in each county; must be a Georgia resident.
