About the Utah Notary exam
The Utah Notary exam is administered by the Utah Driver License Division. Like every state, Utah adopts the federal standards as a baseline and adds state-specific requirements, fees, and procedures.
- Commission fee: approximately $25 application.
- Commission term: 4 years.
- Utah notaries are commissioned by the Lieutenant Governor; must be a Utah resident and at least 18.
