About the Kansas Real Estate exam
The Kansas Real Estate exam is administered by the Kansas Division of Vehicles. Like every state, Kansas adopts the federal standards as a baseline and adds state-specific requirements, fees, and procedures.
- Exam / licence fee: approximately $82 exam fee; $105 license fee.
- Kansas requires 30 hours of pre-licensing education for salesperson applicants — among the lower requirements nationally.
To get started, read the official Kansas handbook (linked above), practice with the tests on this page until you consistently score above 75%, and then schedule your exam with the Kansas Division of Vehicles.
