About the Mississippi Real Estate exam

The Mississippi Real Estate exam is administered by the Mississippi Department of Public Safety. Like every state, Mississippi adopts the federal standards as a baseline and adds state-specific requirements, fees, and procedures.

  • Exam / licence fee: approximately $75 exam fee; $60 license fee.
  • Mississippi requires 60 hours of pre-licensing education; the MREC administers licensing.
