About the Washington Real Estate exam
The Washington Real Estate exam is administered by the Washington Department of Licensing. Like every state, Washington adopts the federal standards as a baseline and adds state-specific requirements, fees, and procedures.
- Exam / licence fee: approximately $138.25 exam fee; $146.25 license fee.
- Washington requires 90 hours of pre-licensing education; the WDOL administers licensing and PSI administers the exam.
To get started, read the official Washington handbook (linked above), practice with the tests on this page until you consistently score above 75%, and then schedule your exam with the Washington Department of Licensing.
