About the Idaho Motorcycle exam
The Idaho Motorcycle exam is administered by the Idaho Transportation Department. Like every state, Idaho adopts the federal standards as a baseline and adds state-specific requirements, fees, and procedures.
- Exam / licence fee: approximately $17 endorsement.
- Idaho's STAR (Skills Test Alternative Route) program uses MSF Basic RiderCourse completion in lieu of the DMV road skills test.
To get started, read the official Idaho handbook (linked above), practice with the tests on this page until you consistently score above 80%, and then schedule your exam with the Idaho Transportation Department.
What's in the Idaho exam: Practice tests for the motorcycle endorsement written exam. Questions reflect the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) curriculum and state-specific motorcycle operator manuals.
