About the Maine Motorcycle exam
The Maine Motorcycle exam is administered by the Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles. Like every state, Maine adopts the federal standards as a baseline and adds state-specific requirements, fees, and procedures.
- Exam / licence fee: approximately $26 endorsement.
- Maine's Motorcycle Safety Program (MSP) offers MSF-curriculum training; completion waives the road skills test at the BMV.
To get started, read the official Maine handbook (linked above), practice with the tests on this page until you consistently score above 80%, and then schedule your exam with the Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
What's in the Maine exam: Practice tests for the motorcycle endorsement written exam. Questions reflect the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) curriculum and state-specific motorcycle operator manuals.
