About the South Dakota Motorcycle exam
The South Dakota Motorcycle exam is administered by the South Dakota Department of Public Safety. Like every state, South Dakota adopts the federal standards as a baseline and adds state-specific requirements, fees, and procedures.
- Exam / licence fee: approximately $15 endorsement.
- South Dakota DOR accepts MSF Basic RiderCourse completion to waive the road skills test.
