About the Delaware DMV Permit exam
The Delaware DMV Permit exam is administered by the Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles. Like every state, Delaware adopts the federal standards as a baseline and adds state-specific requirements, fees, and procedures.
- Exam / licence fee: approximately $20.
- Delaware requires 50 hours of supervised driving (10 at night) for applicants under 18; the permit period is at least 6 months.
