About the Oklahoma DMV Permit exam
The Oklahoma DMV Permit exam is administered by the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety. Like every state, Oklahoma adopts the federal standards as a baseline and adds state-specific requirements, fees, and procedures.

- Oklahoma requires 50 hours of supervised driving (10 at night) for applicants under 16; the permit period is minimum 6 months.
